MORNINGTON PENINSULA — The Mornington Police Station is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 45 year old Joanne Martell out of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria area.
Joanne was last seen on May . 2016.
Homicide Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance following the suspicious disappearance of 45-year-old woman Joanne Martell. Joanne, who is also known as Jo lives a transient lifestyle in the Mornington Peninsula area and is believed to have recently resided in the Rosebud and Dromana area. Joanne’s family became concerned when she failed to attend family birthdays and reported her missing to police in May last year, but it is believed she may have been missing for a longer period. Police have been told it was not unusual for Jo to be out of contact for periods of time and she always travelled with her dog named Biscuit, who was left behind. Detectives have made a number of inquiries and have spoken to a number of people and believe Joanne disappeared in suspicious circumstances. Investigators would particularly like to speak to a caller who provided information to Crime Stoppers to come forward to assist with the investigation. Police are also keen to speak to any of Joanne’s friends or local residents in the Mornington Peninsula area who may have information. Joanne is described as Caucasian in appearance, 165 cm tall with red hair, fair complexion and had a piercing under her bottom lip. It is not known what she was last seen wearing and an image of Joanne has been released.
